The
Model 23 is a small and extremely versatile Shock Test System. The
system can be equipped with a high strength aluminum table to serve as
mini shock test machine, or it can be
outfitted with various platens and impacting forms to perform cushion
and materials impact tests. The machine design is straightforward and
it is a simple task to changeover from one testing configuration to another.
The Model 23 incorporates an electric hoist for table
position and utilizes a damped suspension seismic base impact surface.
The seismic base is a massive steel block that isolates shock
energy from the laboratory floor and
surrounding building. The Model 23 is equipped standard with a handheld
controller for simplified operation or can be upgraded to the full TouchTest™ Shock Control System.
The Model 23 has the ability to test items weighing up to 80 lbs. (36
kg) with specimen dimensions up to 9.06 inches by 9.06 inches (23 cm x
23 cm). With optional components and shock pulse programmers the
Model 23 can generate
half-sine shock pulses up to 5000 g and
durations as short as 0.25 msec.
