Our PDT model numbers identify the maximum payload capacity of the drop tester in kilograms.
The original PDT 56 model designs had maximum payload capacities of 56 kg (125 lbs.). We've made design improvements which increases the maximum payload for the PDT 56 and PDT 56ED to 80 kg (177 lbs.).
To highlight the increased specifications for these new drop testers, the PDT 80M and PDT 80 now replace the PDT 56 and PDT 56ED models.
